Two wonderful soloists this weekend…

Did you know that GDYO has three concerts this Sunday?!

  • YPO, DSE, and Sinfonietta at 2:30pm at the Dallas City Performance Hall
  • Jazz Institute at 6:00pm at Sambuca Uptown
  • Philharmonic and Wind Symphony at 7:30pm at the Dallas City Performance Hall

On the Philharmonic and Wind Symphony concert, we will feature two outstanding soloists: Ebonee Thomas on flute and Zachary Lewis on baritone saxophone.

Ebonee Thomas

Flute

Ebonee Thomas is originally from Plano, TX and was a member of the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra for three years. She holds degrees from Southern Methodist University and the New England Conservatory of Music. She was most recently Principal Flute of the Knoxville Symphony for 3 seasons. Ebonee has performed with Sarasota Orchestra, The Florida Orchestra, Oregon Symphony, Omaha Symphony, Kansas City Symphony, San Antonio Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Detroit Symphony and most recently the Dallas and Fort Worth symphonies.

Zachary Lewis

Wind Symphony Concerto Competition Winner

Zachary Lewis is a senior from Flower Mound High School in Flower Mound, Texas where he played the baritone saxophone for four years. With a passion for flight that matches his passion for music, Zachary plans to join the Navy ROTC program at the University of Oklahoma and later pursue a career as a naval aviator in the United States Navy.
