Meetings are not too numerous and opportunities for involvement range from one-time project work to planning level participation to event execution. Work alongside long term Board Members, many of who are prominent volunteers for Dallas Fine Arts groups such as DSO. Support important initiatives such as Outreach, Development, and our annual Gala!
Guild Planning Committee
Plan the Annual Guild Member’s Party. Brainstorm theme and come up with a venue. Work with the GDYO Staff to execute and host the party. This is an annual celebratory event attended by Guild and Board members expressly to thank parent donors of GDYO.
Outreach Committee Members
This is an opportunity to give input and assist GDYO staff beyond attending rehearsals and concerts. Explore and develop programming that extends GDYO’s reach into the community through education, performances, community partnerships and more. How can GDYO continue to be a vital part of the fabric of our city? How can we share our music farther afield and engage the next generation of musicians? Serve as needed to execute Committee Projects and recruit others to attend.
Work with GDYO Board Members to locate, cultivate and engage GDYO alumni through special events. Help build this program through initiatives that inspire GDYO students to remain connected with GDYO after graduation. Interact with recent grads, working musicians, and established career professionals, all of whom were previously members of GDYO.
Annual Gala Committee
Collaborate with GDYO Board members to design, plan and execute our Annual Gala Dinner and Silent Auction! This is our biggest GDYO Fundraiser which brings in over $60,000 (net!) for GDYO programming. Established leadership needs new participants, and you will LOVE being a part of this dynamic group of go-getters. Jobs include brainstorming theme, decorating, set up, gathering exciting auction items, and being a part of this very visible and important GDYO tradition!
Partner with GDYO Board members to develop, cultivate and serve new donor prospects and enhance GDYO fundraising efforts.
